Graffica was pleased to attend and present at the CIMACT User Group that took place on 29 May 2018. The meeting was held at the Manching Airbase, hosted by the Bundeswehr Technical and Airworthiness Center for Aircraft, located near to Ingolstadt, Germany.
The User Group meeting was well attended by representatives from several European civil and military organisations, as well as NATO and US FAA representatives. The meeting provided an excellent forum to discuss the latest CIMACT release and deployment plans, and for users to contribute to or help prioritise requirements for the next release.
The CIMACT system, managed and provided by EUROCONTROL, combines and merges civil and military data sources (mainly surveillance and flight plan data) into a correlated Air Situation Display to enhance situational awareness and civil-military coordination. The aim is to ensure and increase safety levels, enhance capacity and efficiency. The software is highly flexible, interfaces to a wide variety of data sources and runs on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware. Graffica is specifically responsible for the development and maintenance of the Controller Working Position.
